About

BetterUfck is a GreaseMonkey script that contains UI improvements and extra features for browsing ufck.org.

Requirements

BetterUfck requires FireFox 1.5 or later and the GreaseMonkey addon.

Installation

Follow these steps to install BetterUfck on Firefox for the first time:

1. Install GreaseMonkey, by going here and clicking the green “Add to Firefox” button. Restart FireFox as prompted.
2. Follow the download link at the top of this page.
3. Press F5.
4. Click “Install” when prompted.
5. (optional) I recommend using the FireFox AutoPager addon in addition to BetterUfck.

Follow these steps to install BetterUfck on Google Chrome for the first time:

1. Install the latest beta build for your platform
   1. Windows
   2. Mac
2. Click on the download link at the top of this page. Install when prompted.
3. Restart Chrome.

Follow these steps to upgrade to the latest version of BetterUfck:

1. Follow the download link at the top of this page.
2. Press F5.
3. Click “Install” when prompted.

No restart is required after upgrading. Changes will take effect immediately.

• Removed feature that removed “This post is in a thread you are ignoring” from the “Last Post” column of the subforums section. This is because vB 3.7 no longer detects whether or not said thread is ignored.
• Options are now configurable (on or off) at the top of the script. Set variables to “true” to enable them, to “false” to disable them.

• Adds “Ignore this user” to the drop-down menu that appears when you click a user’s handle in his post.
• Adds [s] at the end of every thread title on the forum display page. You can subscribe to a thread by clicking on the [s].
• As you scroll down towards the end of a thread page, the next page is automatically loaded and its post contents are appended to the bottom of the page you are already viewing.

• Adds [i] to the end of every thread title on the forum display page. You can ignore a thread by clicking on the [i].
• Removes “Check out what subforums we have” from the subforums section at the top.
• Removes “This post is in a thread you are ignoring” from the “Last Post” column of the subforums section at the top.

• Ignore threads by ignored users
• Ignore posts that quote ignored users?
• Move subforums box to bottom of page
• Support quick reply and multi-quote with auto-scrolling
• Add YouTube tag icon to quick reply
